Fintech Moldova Participated at UNCHAIN Festival 2025 in Oradea, Romania.


In mid‑June 2025, Stefan Nistor, founder and coordinator of Fintech Moldova, took part in the UNCHAIN Fintech Festival in Oradea Fortress, Romania—held on June 17–18. Now in its fourth edition, the festival brings together over 700 delegates across the Central and Eastern Europe


Strategic Partnership and Participation Goals

Fintech Moldova established a strategic partnership with UNCHAIN to integrate Moldova’s fintech ecosystem into the wider CEE innovation network. The collaboration aimed to:

  • Increase visibility for Moldovan ecosystem and regulatory progress in front of regional investors and institutions.
  • Enable curated networking opportunities with banks and fintech leaders.
  • Promote knowledge transfer on key regional trends like instant payments and SEPA integration—critical steps toward aligning Moldova with EU financial norms.

Stefan Nistor took part in a panel session within the “CEE Fintech Ecosystem” track on the Main Stage. The session focused on growth, innovation, collaboration, and regulation across the Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) fintech space.

As the Founder and Coordinator of Fintech Moldova, his contributions centered on regional integration and knowledge exchange, sharing Moldova’s experiences in implementing instant payments, SEPA integration, and open banking as part of aligning with broader EU standards.

Networking insights, where he discussed the role of central banks and multinational fintech players, in helping emerging fintech ecosystems build trust and infrastructure. Stefan Nistor emphasized that the partnership “will strengthen Moldova’s role as a bridge between Eastern and Western Europe”.


Festival Highlights and Activities

UNCHAIN 2025 took place within the Oradea Fortress, combining business-focused sessions with a summer festival atmosphere. The expanded agenda featured main themes including digital banking, AI in banking, cross-border payments, regulation, compliance, and embedded finance.

By participating, Fintech Moldova benefited from:

  • Attendance at high-level panels and roundtables.
  • Access to bespoke meetings with representatives from the CEE Fintech leaders.
