Fintech Moldova continued to strengthen its international presence as a Community Partner of Point Zero Forum 2026, one of the world’s leading platforms for dialogue between policymakers, regulators, central banks, financial institutions, and technology innovators. Held in Zurich, Switzerland, the forum brought together global leaders to discuss the technologies, policies, and governance frameworks shaping the future of finance.
Representing Fintech Moldova, Founder and Coordinator Stefan Nistor attended the opening day of the forum, participating in discussions on the opportunities and challenges that are redefining financial services worldwide.
This year’s edition focused on some of the most transformative forces impacting the financial sector, with artificial intelligence, tokenization, digital assets, programmable money, and trust infrastructure dominating the agenda. Throughout the day, policymakers and industry leaders examined how these technologies are moving from experimentation into large-scale implementation and what new regulatory approaches will be needed to support innovation while safeguarding financial stability.
Organized by the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) in collaboration with the Swiss State Secretariat for International Finance (SIF), Point Zero Forum has become one of the most influential international gatherings for shaping the future of financial services. Unlike traditional fintech conferences, the forum places equal emphasis on technology, public policy, regulation, and international cooperation, creating a unique environment where innovation and governance are discussed together.
A recurring theme throughout the opening sessions was Switzerland’s ambition to remain at the forefront of global financial innovation. Discussions highlighted the country’s continued investment in digital assets, tokenized financial infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and modern governance models, reinforcing its position as one of the world’s leading financial centres. Speakers also explored Europe’s response to rapidly evolving technologies and the importance of building trusted digital infrastructure that can support the next generation of financial markets.
For Moldova, participation in Point Zero Forum provides valuable exposure to the global conversations that are shaping tomorrow’s financial ecosystem. As the country continues aligning its financial sector with European standards and accelerating digital transformation, understanding international trends in AI, digital assets, payments, and financial regulation becomes increasingly important for both policymakers and industry leaders.
As a Community Partner, Fintech Moldova remains committed to connecting Moldova’s fintech ecosystem with leading international platforms where ideas, policy, and innovation converge. These engagements strengthen relationships with global partners, provide access to emerging best practices, and create new opportunities for collaboration that support the continued growth of Moldova’s financial technology sector.
By participating in global forums such as Point Zero Forum, Fintech Moldova continues to ensure that Moldova is part of the international conversation on the future of finance—bringing global insights back to the local ecosystem while showcasing the country’s growing role within the European fintech community.
