Fintech Moldova Brings Moldova’s Perspective to Future Finance Summit 2025 in Warsaw

Fintech Moldova continued its international engagement by participating in the Future Finance Summit 2025 in Warsaw, where Founder and Coordinator Stefan Nistor represented Moldova’s fintech ecosystem in a panel discussion exploring the future of financial innovation across Europe.

As a Community Partner of the event, Fintech Moldova joined one of Central and Eastern Europe’s leading fintech gatherings, bringing together founders, financial institutions, regulators, investors, and ecosystem leaders to discuss the trends shaping the future of financial services.

During the summit, Stefan Nistor joined an international panel alongside fintech leaders from Estonia, Italy, and Germany, with the discussion moderated by Kamile Šulcaitė of Lithuania. The session provided a comparative perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing fintech ecosystems across Europe, highlighting both regional differences and shared priorities.

Several common themes emerged throughout the discussion. While European fintech continues to demonstrate strong innovation capacity, scaling successful companies and achieving international growth remain significant challenges. Panelists also emphasized the importance of balancing innovation with responsible regulation, consumer protection, and ethical adoption of emerging technologies—an approach that increasingly distinguishes the European fintech landscape.

Artificial intelligence, digital finance, and the growing concept of “Fintech for Good” were also central to the conversation. Participants highlighted the opportunity for financial technology to deliver not only commercial success but also measurable social and economic impact by improving financial inclusion, accessibility, and resilience.

The panel also explored differing perspectives on cryptocurrencies and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). While some ecosystems view these technologies as catalysts for the next generation of financial services, others remain cautious, pointing to regulatory uncertainty, market volatility, and implementation risks. The discussion reflected the diversity of approaches currently being taken across Europe.

A recurring message throughout the session was that Europe’s greatest competitive advantage lies in collaboration. Cross-border partnerships, knowledge sharing, and interconnected innovation ecosystems continue to drive the region forward. In this context, Moldova was highlighted as an emerging fintech ecosystem with the potential to serve as a bridge between Eastern and Western Europe, combining local innovation with the experience and best practices developed across the European Union.

Beyond the panel discussions, the Future Finance Summit provided valuable opportunities to strengthen relationships with fintech communities from across Europe, exchange ideas with industry leaders, and identify new areas for collaboration.

The event also showcased Poland’s rapid emergence as one of the region’s most dynamic fintech markets. Through sustained investment in innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital financial services, Poland continues to establish itself as an important hub for financial technology in Central and Eastern Europe, offering valuable lessons for developing ecosystems across the region.

Participation in the Future Finance Summit reflects Fintech Moldova’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that Moldova’s fintech ecosystem remains connected to international conversations, contributes to European policy and innovation discussions, and builds partnerships that create new opportunities for local companies to grow beyond national borders.
